Job Distribution: Where Your Posting Actually Appears

Google Jobs markup is not a feed, and a feed is not a guarantee. Here's exactly what each channel means, by plan, and what's still a manual step on your end.

Markup vs. a feed vs. a guarantee

These are three different things, and the difference matters:

Nothing on this site is ever shown as "posted" or "live" on an external board until it has actually been posted there by you, through that board's own process.

LinkedIn (manual share)——✓✓

"✓" means the channel is available on that plan — not that a given job is currently live there. Indeed, ZipRecruiter, and LinkedIn all require a manual step from you (below), and Google decides for itself whether and how to show markup.

What each channel actually is

Google Jobs structured markup — all plans, including Free. Automatic on every public job listing. This is markup, not a submission — Google's own crawling and ranking decide if and how a listing appears in Google Jobs. There's no action required from you.

Indeed feed — Scale and Corporate. You get a per-employer feed URL. You register that feed with Indeed yourself, following Indeed's own process; listings then appear organically, with sponsored promotion as an optional, separate choice you make with Indeed. We don't call Indeed's API or submit anything on your behalf.

ZipRecruiter feed — Scale and Corporate. Same model as Indeed: a per-employer feed URL, registered with ZipRecruiter by you.

Glassdoor — rides on Indeed, Scale and Corporate. Glassdoor exposure comes through the Indeed feed once that's set up; there's no separate Glassdoor configuration.

LinkedIn — a manual share action, Scale and Corporate. This is the one we're most careful about: LinkedIn does not currently offer us an open, automated posting API, and we don't have confirmed partner status with LinkedIn. So what's available is a one-click share link that generates a pre-filled LinkedIn post for you to publish from your own LinkedIn account. It is not an automatic posting, not a partnership, and we will not describe a job as "posted on LinkedIn" until that changes — sharing is what's real today.

Requirements and what's still manual

Beyond these, we don't have verified details on every eligibility or geographic requirement each individual job board may apply on their end (for example, Indeed's or ZipRecruiter's own review process for a submitted feed) — that's between you and the board once you register your feed, and we'd rather say that plainly than guess.

Listing lifecycle

A published job listing runs for 30 days by default. About a week before it expires, you get a reminder. A listing is never auto-closed or silently extended — closing, renewing, or editing it is always your call.

Does Google Jobs markup guarantee my job will appear in Google Jobs?
No. The markup gives Google the structured data it needs to find and understand the listing. Whether, where, and how it's shown in Google Jobs is entirely Google's own decision — ResumeTailored can't guarantee placement on Google Jobs or any other channel.
Is my job actually posted on Indeed and ZipRecruiter once I'm on Scale?
Scale and Corporate give you a per-employer feed URL for Indeed and for ZipRecruiter. You still register that feed with Indeed/ZipRecruiter yourself — ResumeTailored doesn't call their APIs or submit it on your behalf, and nothing here is shown as posted until it's actually posted.
Is my job posted on LinkedIn?
Not automatically. On Scale and Corporate, the portal gives you a one-click LinkedIn share link that you post yourself from your own LinkedIn account. LinkedIn does not currently offer us an open posting API, so there is no automatic or partnered posting to LinkedIn — sharing is what's real today.
Do job listings expire or auto-close?
Listings run for 30 days by default, with a reminder sent about a week before expiry. A listing is never auto-closed or silently extended — you decide what happens to it.
