We collect information you provide directly and information generated automatically when you use the service.

- Account information: email address, username, and password (hashed)
- Resume content and job descriptions you paste or upload
- Payment information (processed by Stripe — we never store raw card numbers)
- Support messages you send us
- Career check-in and community forum posts
Information collected automatically:
- IP address (used for free-tier usage tracking, not stored long-term)
- Browser type, device type, and operating system
- Pages visited and time spent (via Google Analytics, subject to your cookie consent)
- Session tokens stored in your browser's localStorage

- To process payments and manage subscriptions

- Anthropic (Claude API) — processes your resume text to generate AI outputs. Anthropic's API is used under their standard enterprise terms.
- Stripe — processes payments. Stripe is PCI-DSS certified.
- Resend — sends transactional emails (if configured)
- Google Analytics — usage analytics (consent-gated)
- Railway — cloud hosting provider
6. Data Retention
Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. In-memory data (usage counters, sessions) resets on server restart. Resume content sent to the AI is not stored after the response is returned.
To request deletion of your account and all associated data, email [email protected]. We will process your request within 30 days.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Object to or restrict processing
- Data portability
- Withdraw consent for cookies at any time

8. Children's Privacy

Our service is hosted in the United States via Railway. If you access it from the EU, EEA, or UK, your data may be transferred to the US. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses where required.

We use HTTPS for all data in transit. Passwords are hashed before storage. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, but no system is 100% secure.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
